Functions

• Adjustable Current Source: LM234Z-6/NOPB is a 3 - terminal adjustable current source with a wide operating current range of 10,000:1. The output current can be adjusted, and it only needs one external resistor to set the current, without the need for other components. Its initial current accuracy is ±3%, and it has excellent current regulation performance. The working voltage range is 1V to 40V, which has a wide - dynamic voltage range.
• Floating Current Source: It is a true floating current source, and there is no separate power supply connection. Even if a reverse - applied voltage of up to 20V is applied, it will only consume a current of dozens of microamperes, so it can act as both a rectifier and a current source in AC applications.
• Temperature Sensing: As a temperature sensor, LM234Z - 6/NOPB has an initial accuracy of ±3°C. The sensing voltage is directly proportional to the absolute temperature (°K). In remote - sensing applications, the series resistance in long - line wires will not affect its accuracy, and only two - wire connection is required.

• Bias Networks: It can be used to provide a stable bias current for circuits, ensuring the normal operation of components in the circuit, such as setting the operating point of transistors in some amplifier circuits.
• Surge Protection: By limiting the current, it can play a role in protecting circuit components from damage caused by surge currents, and is suitable for occasions where over - current protection is required.
• Low - power Reference: Due to its stable current output characteristics, it can be used as a low - power current reference source to provide a stable current reference for some low - power circuits, which is helpful for maintaining the stability of the circuit.
• Ramp Generation: It can be used in circuits that require ramp - shaped current or voltage output, and cooperate with other components to generate the required ramp signal, which is used in some timing or control circuits.
• LED Driver: It can provide a stable driving current for LEDs, ensuring the normal lighting and brightness stability of LEDs, and is suitable for LED lighting systems with relatively simple requirements.
• Temperature Sensing: As a temperature sensor, it is suitable for various temperature - sensing occasions, such as environmental temperature monitoring in industrial control, temperature detection in household appliances, etc. It can convert temperature changes into current changes for measurement and control.
